GH hall life contributes towards the achievements of “PEER & I” and “ELAT”
“PEER & I” represents EdUHK graduate attributes that consist of three domains:
Professional Excellence
Articulation of the knowledge and skills acquired in their study and successful application in their profession, and aspiration to continuous improvement and development;
Competencies in critical thinking, communication, problem solving and collaboration skills, integrating theory and practice; positive and professional attitude; and
Ethical Responsibility;
Awareness of and commitment to being caring, socially and ethically responsible residents
Upholding moral values and integrity; and
Ability to think critically and independently to make moral judgments.
Innovation
Possession of a global mindset, technological literacy and entrepreneurship with drive and aspirations;
Readiness to learn and engage in lifelong learning; and
Ability to generate creative, innovative and effective approaches and ideas.
The Experiential Learning and Achievements Transcript (ELAT) recognizes students’ achievements, contributions, and participation in non-credit bearing experiential learning in 4 categories:
Personal Effectiveness - Develop a sense of belonging and gain benefits from respectful interaction with fellow residents of diverse backgrounds and interests
Global & Cultural Enrichment- Establish a caring and loving residential community; develop participants’ personal and social development skills. Exchange different cultures between local and exchange students in the residential hall.
Citizenship & Civic Engagement - Advocate participants to cherish food, care for the needy in our society, as well as learn about different social issues
Careers & Professional Development – Develop career aspirations. Guide residents to explore and identify their career goals.
